Pennsylvania Property Tax Relief for Seniors 2026
Every statewide property tax break Pennsylvania offers older homeowners that we could confirm on an official page: the type of relief, the age and income limits, the amount, how to apply and the deadline.
Pennsylvania's main statewide senior property tax relief is the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program. It is open to homeowners and renters aged 65+, widows and widowers 50+, and people with disabilities 18+, with household income of $48,110 or less. Standard rebates run from $380 to $1,000 for the 2025 claim year (filed by Dec 31, 2026), and supplemental rebates go to those with the greatest need. Pennsylvania has no statewide age-based homestead exemption, assessment freeze or deferral. The school-district homestead/farmstead exclusion applies to all owner-occupants regardless of age.
