Missouri Property Tax Relief for Seniors 2026
Every statewide property tax break Missouri offers older homeowners that we could confirm on an official page: the type of relief, the age and income limits, the amount, how to apply and the deadline.
Missouri has no statewide homestead exemption for seniors. Its main statewide relief is the Missouri Property Tax Credit, a circuit breaker for people 65 and older with limited household income, worth up to $1,100 for homeowners and $750 for renters. Counties may also adopt a senior property tax freeze credit for homeowners 62 and older, which caps the tax at their initial-year amount, but only where the county has authorized it. (sources)
