What are the 2026 federal income tax brackets?

The 2026 federal income tax has seven brackets — 10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35%, 37%. For a single filer the 12% bracket starts at $12,400 of taxable income and the top 37% bracket begins at $640,600; for married-filing-jointly the 37% bracket begins at $768,700. These thresholds apply to taxable income, i.e. after the standard deduction.
